Summary

It has been three years since Thalia attempted once more to take over the kingdom and was killed by the head Royal Guard Anakin. The kingdom should be rejoicing however the King and Queen live in fear and have never stopped searching, for when Thalia was killed, one of her loyal followers and friends Alwina escaped with their clan taking with them, Anakin and their eldest daughter Kiara.

They fear they will never see Anakin or Kiara again and if they did, Anakin may be dead and Kiara will be lost to the witches. However they will not give up hope, despite what the advisors and guards tell them, Padme knows as Queen she will not give up. Her little girl is out there however she is still there for her eleven year old son Jacen and five year old daughter Lily who only wish to see their sister and uncle again.

Whilst, at the same time, desperate to escape the witches, Kiara refuses to give in despite what they do to her uncle who struggles to hold on but refuses to let Alwina win. However, every time they had attempted an escape, they were always caught and Kiara is forced to watch her uncle suffer again.

Alwina refuses to back down and will fulfil her dear friend’s dream to destroy the Queen and King however Kiara’s stubbornness is wearing her thin and so will Alwina take drastic actions to ensure Kiara becomes one of them and will Padme and Obi Wan ever see their daughter and Anakin again?

Chapter 1 - Three years later

“Come on uncle Ani, we need to keep running!” A nine year old Kiara cried, panic in her voice as she raced through the trees hearing her uncle metres behind her, but struggling to keep up which was to be expected. Within the last three years, the witches, led by their new leader Alwina, tortured him every time Kiara refused to submit herself to the training or escaped. However, despite their failed attempts, once again, Kiara and Anakin were attempting to escape for what seem like the 100th time and this time before the sun rose.

Kiara could hear the river up and looked back to see her uncle catching up with her. Anakin quickly pulled her behind a nearby tree “Uncle Ani, what are you doing?” She asks confused “We need to keep going!” she insisted as Anakin looked at his niece. Within the last three years, she had grown from the young six bright excitable year old he once knew but into a strong, defensive nine year old. It reminded him of her mother and it pained him that Padme was missing this time with her daughter as well as his brother, missing his daughter.

Anakin placed a hand to his lips, indicating for her to be silent before pointing up ahead where she then spotted two witches up ahead scouting. “We’ll need to go around them” he explains looking around as Kiara then had an idea “Shall I use my powers uncle Ani?” She asks as Anakin give her a small smile before he shook his head. “We can’t risk Alwina sensing that but I have an idea” he tells her kneeling towards her “Climb up on my back and hold on” he tells her as Kiara nods, climbing up on Anakin’s back, wrapping her arms around his neck. She then felt him start to climb the nearby tree until he reached a secure tree branch. “We’re going to carefully go over them and hopefully we’ll make it over to the river. Kiara kept silent as she clung to her uncle before he moved cautiously across the branch hearing the river up ahead. They had successfully passed over the scouts when Anakin realised he’ll need to make a leap and hoping they can make it over the water.

He then took Kiara off his back and held her close to his chest “I’m scared uncle Ani” she whimpered as Anakin kissed the top of her head “Don’t worry I won’t let you go” he promises and takes one more step till he was at the edge of the branch and then reaching out with the force strength he had been holding onto, he jumped off the branch and they were in the air over the river and they were on the other side. Anakin felt the grass under his feet as he smiled down at his niece. “We made it” he whispered however just as he placed her down, Anakin was suddenly thrown through the air and before he could hear the tree, several vines latched out to his arms and legs as Kiara’s eyes widen in fear

“Uncle Ani!” She cried seeing him held in place by the vines before a sinister and familiar laugh joined them followed by several witches. “Sweet child, when are you going to learn that there is no escape for you and your uncle” she warns her before Kiara then saw another vine wrap around Anakin’s neck starting to choke him.

“No, please, don’t hurt my uncle!” She cried seeing Anakin struggle to breath as Alwina laughs “Perhaps your uncle’s death will ensure you never run away again” she tells her using her magic to tighten the vine around Anakin’s neck making it harder for him to breathe. Kiara felt the tears fall down her cheeks

“Please, no!” She cried “You promised my uncle wouldn’t die!” She sobbed “Please!” She pleads through her tears before after a few more minutes, Alwina released the vines around Anakin hearing him gasping for air as four more witches rushed towards him cuffing him with force resistants once more as Alwina grabbed Kiara by her arm.

Alwina glared down at the young girl “I may have said your uncle would not die, but if these escape attempts persist, next time he will die” she warns seeing the tears fall down Kiara’s face even more as Alwina dragged her back to camp with her sisters bringing Anakin along with them. Kiara tearfully looks back at her uncle as he looks back at her in regret, he had failed to get them away from these witches. Perhaps they would be prisoners of these witches forever.

Unaware that his brother had been attempting escapes from the witches with his daughter, Obi Wan awoke the next morning with the realisation that he had for the last three years - his brother and his daughter were prisoners of the witches and even though Thalia was dead, Alwina was a loyal follower and close friend to Thalia and she was now the leader and unable to sense his brother troubled him even more.

What if Anakin was dead? What had become of his daughter? Obi Wan quickly shook his head. No, Anakin had to be alive, there was a reason they took him and Kiara. Anakin was a pawn keeping him alive in the hopes Kiara will join them. He had to believe Anakin was protecting Kiara, he just hoped this would all be over.

The doors to their bedroom opened once more and in stormed his wife, dressed in her crimson coloured battle dress and hair pulled back into a tight bun. Sabe and Dorme were right behind her along with Padme and Obi Wan’s eleven year old son Jacen and their now five year old daughter Lily.

“Another failed search!” Padme cried “We’ve searched nearly the entire kingdom and have every Jedi on alert and still nothing!” She angrily exclaims in frustration as Jacen moved up beside her mother. “We won’t give up mother. My sister and uncle are still out there and alive and we will see them again” he promises her as Padme turns to look down at her son, placing a hand on his shoulder.

“My son, you’ve grown so much. We couldn’t be more prouder” she smiles as Obi Wan moved over towards his wife and son, wrapping an arm around his wife. “Your mother’s right. You’ve come a long way in your training and we will be a family again” he promises him as Lily ran over towards Obi Wan “Daddy!” She cried as he lifts her up into his arms

“I miss Kiara and uncle Ani daddy” she admits as he holds her close “We all do Lily but we won’t stop till we find them” he insists as Padme agrees “I’ve sent the soldiers out once more to start another search but I don’t understand why you can’t sense them?” She asks as Obi Wan shook his head

“Well, remember when Thalia last tried to take over the kingdom and she used yslamir to block the force, it’s possible the witches are using yslamir to block everyone from sensing their camp” he warns her “But it’s not going to stop us” he assures her as Padme gives him a small smile. “I only hope we won’t be too late” she admits before they shared a gentle kiss together before leading Jacen and Lily back out of the room to head down to breakfast as Sabe and Dorme followed.

King Bail Organa was full of guilt and remorse - he blamed himself for what happened to Kiara and Anakin. Despite Padme and Obi Wan telling him that he had no choice that Thalia had his wife’s heart, they did not excuse his wife for trying to take their children away. Jacen had told them what happened in the dungeons and so Bail was ensuring he and his soldiers did every thing they could to find Anakin and Kiara.

And there was happiness for Bail and Breha - their longing for children was over for two years ago they adopted a beautiful healthy baby girl they named Abigail. Princess Abigail and now three years old, she was doted by them lovingly and it only made them increase the search for Padme and Obi Wan’s daughter.

“Your highness, there appears to be no sign of the camp or the princess and the head guard. Perhaps it’s time to call off the search” the guard suggested as Bail, who held his daughter Abigail in his arms, looked over at him.

“No, increase the search. They are still out there and Queen Padme is our friend and ally. Her daughter must be returned to them along with their head royal guard and brother to the King” he instructs them seeing the guard nod before turning to exit their throne room as Abigail looked up at her father

“Daddy, when can I play with Lily again?” She asks as he smiles. Despite the age difference, Lily and Abigail formed quite a friendship however Padme was still uncomfortable around Breha knowing she tried to take the children and even though Thalia had her heart, Padme would have thought they could have tried to secretly warn them.

Bail give his little girl a hug “Soon princess. Lily’s parents are dealing with finding Lily’s sister and Lily’s uncle and running their kingdom but we’ll make a visit there again soon” he promises seeing her smile before he carried her from the throne room heading out into the gardens.

Kiara covered her eyes once more as she saw two more witches shove their electro staffs into her uncle. His hands were tied above his head and his chest was bare and he was only wearing his pants. Alwina stood off to the side, arms folded and smirking as they tortured the Jedi once more after bringing them back to camp.

Alwina then noticed Kiara covering her eyes which forced her to grab one of her arms abruptly forcing her to look. “You need to look because you are not listening to me in that every time you both try to escape, your uncle suffers” she reminds her as Kiara shakes her head, eyes looking up at her filled with tears

“But it’s too much, you’re hurting him and he could die!” She sobs. This was true, with every escape attempt, the torture became harder and longer for Anakin and Kiara feared one day they just will kill him.

Alwina shakes her head, tightening her grip on the little girl’s arm. “Well, you aren’t learning that this is the punishment for escaping” she reminds her as Kiara cringes hearing her uncle screaming in pain once more. Alwina tilts her head “You know what you have to do to get them to stop” she reminds her referring to using her abilities. “Kiara….don’t listen…..” Anakin tries to tell her as the electro staff was jammed into his side once more. Kiara felt the tears fall. Her uncle was right, don’t give into the witches and show them her abilities were growing but this time they weren’t stopping.

And so just as the second electro staff was about to be jabbed into his side once more, the witch instead saw the staff fly from her hands before the second one also went flying. “Leave my uncle alone!” Kiara cries as Alwina smirks “I see your abilities are growing little one. You’ll make a fine witch young one” she tells her looking back at her two sisters, waving her hand, Anakin’s hands were untied and he fell to the floor

“Sisters, let us leave our young student here with her uncle” she tells her before all three headed from the tent right as Kiara rushed over to her uncle, throwing her arms around him, kneeling beside him “I’m sorry uncle Ani, I had to!” She cried “They wouldn’t stop” she sobbed as Anakin slowly looks up at her, lifting a shaking arm to pull her closer. “I understand Kiara. I would have done the same but let us hope this is the last time she sees your abilities” he reminds her hoping that they’ll soon be back with their family.

Obi Wan’s dream…
The screams surrounded him as soldiers fell to the ground, wounded or dead. The witches were winning and all he was focused on was protecting his wife, son and daughter as well as finding Kiara and Anakin.

“Obi Wan!” He heard as he turned to see his wife in her battle dress running towards him “Don’t worry Jacen and Lily are with Sabe and Dorme, I’m not leaving you” she tells him giving him a stern look which told him not to argue with her. “Have you found Kiara and Anakin?” She asks as Obi Wan shook his head

“Not yet but…..” He then sensed a familiar presence before they both saw moving into the  courtyard three figures. They recognised the middle figure as Alwina, Thalia’s friend however their eyes widen in horror when they spotted Anakin and realising the third was their middle child, Kiara, all dressed in black and eyes bleeding yellow.

Alwina smirked as she looked over at her newest recruit. “You remember what you must do young one” she reminds her as Padme felt her heart breaking “Kiara….” She cries as Kiara pushes back her hood smirking “Anakin’s the only family I have” she simply replied raising her hand, Padme and Obi Wan were flying through the air before everything went black

End of dream

Chapter 2: A Pointless Search

Author’s Note: So, there are two more OC witches coming into the story. Her name is Aurelia and I will be using Natalie Dormer and the second is Delia and I’m using Carice Van Houten - she will appear in the next chapter.

As morning rose the following morning, Kiara and Anakin were abruptly awoken once more which ever since they were first taken prisoner, had become a daily occurrence and because of yesterday’s escape attempt, it would only get worse. Anakin’s hands were secured with force resistance cuffs before he was pushed out before another witch, this one with long, brown blondish hair and dressed in long flowing deep blue dress underneath her black cloak. Her name was Aurelia and she grew up alongside Alwina. She helped Alwina escape the palace and ensuring the capture of Anakin and Kiara whilst also attempting to train Kiara as a new witch.

Aurelia brought them into the centre of the camp where Alwina was waiting. She smirked down at Kiara as Aurelia stepped alongside Alwina. “Are you ready to continue your training young one?” She asks “Remember defiance will see your uncle suffer” she reminds her just as Kiara heard Anakin speak up “Don’t worry about me Kiara” he tells her “Stay strong, think of your parents” he tells her however Alwina ignores him and focuses on Kiara

“Well, young one?” She asks as Kiara is silent as Aurelia speaks up “I think she needs some persuasion again” she insists turning her sights on Anakin as Kiara shakes her head “No, please!” She cried as Alwina nods at Aurelia who raises one hand before Kiara heard Anakin struggling to breathe whilst a third witch activated the cuffs around his wrists sending shock waves through his body.

“Kiara…..” Anakin choked “Don’t give in” he tells her as Kiara begins to panic once more, tears forming in her eyes “Uncle Ani” she cried feeling like the six year old she was when she was first brought her. Aurelia continued to choke him as Anakin struggled to breathe even more whilst the shock waves continued through his body. Alwina smirks as Kiara shakes her head before she feels her little fists tighten and then without a word, Kiara suddenly force pushed Aurelia meters away causing her to lose her grip on Anakin’s chokehold before Kiara force pushed the third witch away as Anakin fell to the ground gasping for air

“My uncle has suffered enough and if you kill him, I will never join you” she warns her as Anakin heard her mother in her voice as he slowly looks up as Alwina simply grins “”Our training is continuing” she tells her “You’re growing more powerful for one so young” she explains. “Follow me young one” she insists “Aurelia, bring her uncle with us” she tells her as Aurelia nods moving over towards Anakin as Alwina turns and heads for the secondary training grounds with Kiara.

Obi Wan did not sleep last night especially after his dream where their kingdom was being attacked again by Alwina and this time they brought Anakin and Kiara except Kiara was one of them, her eyes bled yellow and she answered to Alwina. He shuddered at the thought thinking his little girl and his brother were held captive and for Anakin it was most likely torture because witches disliked men and Anakin was only there to ensure Kiara surrounded herself to them.

Padme was distracting herself with running her kingdom and ensuring the search parties did not stop however day by day three years later, it was becoming a pointless search with the advisors insisting they give up and believe Kiara and Anakin to be lost forever, something neither Padme and Obi Wan would not allow.

And neither would Jacen, despite only being 11, he was determined to prove himself once more and with his training increased with the help of Obi Wan and Obi Wan and Anakin’s father Qui Gon, he was ready to join the search. However, Obi Wan and Padme would not allow it, but Padme was forming her own plan which would ensure the kingdom was protected and they could be out there rescuing their daughter and brother in law.

“Excuse me, your highness, I’m not sure I heard you correctly?” One advisor asked “You want a decoy Queen and King whilst you and your husband are both out there pointlessly searching for the princess and head guard?” He asks

“Pointless search?” Padme asks in disbelief “I am a Queen but I am also a wife and mother and I know my daughter and my brother in law are still out there and I will find her and Anakin” she declares “Sabe is one of my best friends who grew up alongside me since I’ve been a little princess. She will watch over my kingdom and Jacen and Lily and Obi Wan will be here for her” she explains

The advisor tried to argue once more “But your highness, I must insist, this is just pointless because surely the soldiers would have found them by now” he tells her just as Sabe’s mother, another advisor on the council spoke up “I agree with our Queen. Perhaps a mother’s approach to the search will help find them however, Padme, your husband is a Jedi and a father’s love for his daughter just might find the witches and we can ensure they are removed from the kingdom permanently” she informs him seeing him go silent before she exchanged a smile with Padme. Padme stands firm. “As I am Queen, it’s my decision and hopefully it won’t be a long search” she promises them “We need to act now because these witches will be back and they won’t stop until they avenge Thalia’s wish” she reminds them.

The advisors all looked around silently before they all agreed. Despite Thalia being dead, Alwina was leading the witches and with Kiara in their clutches, despite being so young, she could still wield the force and her close relationship with her uncle means that she would do anything to protect him.

“Very well, your highness. The advisors will give you four days. Your handmaiden will take your place and if in four days, you haven’t found them, you must return home and rule the kingdom and the search will be called off for good” he warns.

Padme fought back the tears fearing that she would have to admit her daughter and brother in law would be dead but she also had a kingdom and they were right however Padme believed that with Obi Wan’s help, they would bring Kiara and Anakin home and remove the witches from the kingdom once and for all.

Aurelia watched as Kiara was showing how much she remembered from previous training sessions. She was right now attempting to pull objects and small weapons into her grasp. Alwina stood beside her whilst Anakin was tied to a tree close by. Kiara dropped the small rock before she turned her attention towards Alwina and managed to pull one of her small daggers from her holsters and now was using the force to hold it at Alwina’s neck

Alwina simply smirk “What now young one?” She asks “You’re going to kill me?” She adds “You’ll never make it out of the camp, at least not without your uncle” she warms as Kiara glared at her “You don’t know my uncle. He’s strong. He defeated Thalia and we’ll continue to escape” she warns her as Alwina shakes her head turning her attention to Anakin

She then removed another dagger she was carrying and using her powers sending it straight for Anakin, hovering it over his heart. Kiara shook her head, feeling the tears in her eyes “Please, don’t kill him!” She cried “You promised!” She reminds her “I’ll never join you” she cried and in anger, Kiara moved the dagger away from Alwina and straight for Aurelia grazing her arm causing her to cry out.

Alwina simply smirks “There it is” she tells her “There’s where your powers lie, in your anger. Seeing your uncle in pain and in danger, angers you and you’ll do anything to protect him” she tells her. Alwina moved over towards her kneeling before her “You would hurt anyone who hurts your uncle wouldn’t you?” She asks

Kiara looked over at her uncle, his eyes met hers telling her to not give in to Alwina’s taunts. Kiara felt the tears fall down her cheeks as she looked over at Alwina “You’re a bad lady and my parents will find us” she reminds her before she went silent. It had been so long since she even remembered her parents - she wondered if they really were trying to find them as Alwina laughs, she places a hand on Kiara’s head

“Sweet child, you’re never leaving here and the only way you will leave, is when your powers are strong enough to help us destroy your mother’s kingdom which will fulfil Thalia’s wish and if you do this, your uncle will remain alive” she informs her

“Kiara…..” She hears Anakin breathe heavily looking over at her “Don’t listen, you don’t have to do anything” he assures her as Alwina smiles before she gets to her feet “Think about it young one” she insists “Aurelia, bring them back to camp” she instructs her friend before she headed back towards camp leaving Aurelia to bring Anakin and Kiara back to camp.

When Aurelia returned to camp with Anakin and Kiara, she entered their quarters where she secured Anakin’s wrists to one of the wooden poles before watching Kiara run over towards her uncle. Aurelia stood back in silent hearing the young girl crying once more. “I’m sorry uncle Ani, I’m sorry” she heard her say as Aurelia shook her head before she turned to exit their quarters.

Aurelia never told Alwina much about her past because she didn’t reveal much when she found the witches. Unlike her fellow sisters here in the clan, Aurelia was also born into a royal family like Kiara and realising she had force powers she was afraid and when the witches attacked her kingdom, she pleaded with them to take her because she didn’t want to be alone and the witches became her family but three years ago when they attempted to take over Queen Padme’s kingdom and then took royal guard Anakin and Princess Kiara captive. Aurelia was reminded of herself when she looked at Kiara.

Flashback -

“Please, take me with you!” Aurelia pleaded with the women standing in front of her. She had been told to remain hidden by her mother and father but upon seeing them killed before her eyes, and her powers still not strong enough to fight against them, Aurelia needed protection and didn’t want to be alone.

It was then they heard a voice “I think we should take her with us” they told them “Another young to train to become a powerful witch and Thalia could use a new friend” she tells them. Shira smiles around at her new sisters as Aurelia, eyes watering looks up at them

“I don’t want to be alone” she cried as Shira moves over towards her kneeling beside her, placing one hand on her shoulder “And you’ll never be alone anymore. We’re the family you need” she smirks as Aurelia tearfully looks up at her before Shira lifts the little girl in her arms leading her away from the kingdom and into the forest.

End of flashback

As Aurelia moved away from Anakin and Kiara’s quarters, Kiara continued to cry beside her uncle. “I’m sorry” she sobbed “I didn’t mean to do what I did but I didn’t want her to keep hurting you and she knows my anger triggers my powers” she cries

“I just want to go home” she tells him as Anakin, struggling with his wrists tied to the pole, attempts to shifts himself closer towards his niece. “There may be a way” he tells her as Kiara looks up at him as he goes on “Kiara, this plan could be risky but I believe in you, you’re strong and I know you can do it” he insists. “What is it?’ Kiara softly asks as Anakin clears his throat “The camp is blocked off from the force however when we were near the river, I started to sense the force and so tonight, when everyone has gone to sleep, you’re going to sneak out to the river and attempt to use the force to reach out to contact your father” he suggested as Kiara clung to her uncle even more

“But if they see me escaping, they’ll hurt you” she points out as Anakin shook his head “You won’t because once you think you got a message out, come straight back here” he insists. Kiara looks up at him with tears in her eyes but seeing him smile down at her, and within the last three years, she felt even more closer to her uncle.

“Okay uncle Ani, I will do my best” she insists before she snuggled against Anakin hoping to get some rest before her big job that would hopefully see them escape this camp and the witches for good.

The horses were prepared, the knights were ready to leave along with their Queen and King. Padme was moving down the stone steps alongside her husband as Jacen and Lily hurried after them. Sabe was inside with the advisors proving to them that this was the best choice. Padme was a strong minded Queen and a fighter and she would make her family.

“Padme, my dear are you sure this is a wise idea. If the witches are watching us this could be a trap” Obi Wan warns as Padme shakes her head “I refuse to wait around fearing the worst. I’m taking over the search and will bring my daughter home!” She explains as Obi Wan sighs “Yes, but I am not letting you go out there alone. You are a Queen but you’re also my wife and I’m going with you” he insists

Jacen, who had been standing beside his father along with his little sister, lowers his head before he spoke “I wish I was coming with you to save my sister and uncle” he admits. Obi Wan then kneels down towards his son. “I know you do but your mother and I will feel much better knowing you are here protecting the kingdom and your sister” he informs him just as Lily then threw her arms around her mother.

“Mommy, please just come home and bring Kiara and uncle Ani” she sobs as Padme then lifts her little girl in her arms. “I promise you, we will bring them home and you be a good girl for your brother and aunt Sabe. She’s going to help look after the kingdom while mommy’s away” she informs her. Padme gives her a gentle kiss and hug before she gives one last hug to Jacen as Obi Wan hugs Lily before Jacen and Lily watched both their parents ascend their horses and lead the knights out of the kingdom on what would hopefully be the last search mission.

Chapter 3: Changing The Plan

As night fell over the camp, Alwina had summoned Aurelia to her tent which Aurelia was more than happy to do because she had a chance to voice her concerns and comments on Kiara’s slow training process.
As Aurelia entered the tent, she found Alwina sitting at the small table with a drink in hand. “Aurelia, am I not a good leader or teacher?” She asks going on “I became leader only because Thalia was murdered, I am giving that little princess a home and a new better family and yet she continues to be stubborn” she scoffs

Aurelia takes a deep breath “In three years, the little princess has shown little signs of becoming a witch. She clings to hope that her parents are coming” she reminds her “Perhaps we need to try an alternate approach to her training?” She suggests as Alwina scoffs once more

“And what would you suggest?” She asks “We can’t kill her uncle……” she pauses before she then had a thought. “Unless…..” She then smirks “Never mind Aurelia. I know exactly what we can do” she tells her getting to her feet. “Come, we’re going to see Delia” she tells her as Aurelia’s eyes widen. The elder witches only went to see her in the dire of circumstances. She feared for what Alwina would do after her meeting with Delia.

Whilst, using the cover of darkness, Kiara, attempting to be as a brave as she could for her uncle, made it to the forest without being seen, Luckily, she stuck to the same route they had used the last time they had tried to escape.

Within the last three years, she hadn’t grown too tall and was using the trees cover as she ran through the forest towards the trees. The camp was becoming further and further away from her as she started to hear the night animals moving through the darkness as she remained on alert and trying to use the force to guide her however she was still unable to sense anything and she picked up her speed as she started to hear the rushing waters of the river.

Ducking low behind the bushes, Kiara spotted two witches on scout not too far away and she kept backing away from them when she then started to feel the force around her, just like her uncle had been teaching her in between Alwina’s teachings. “Concentrate on the moment” she remembers Anakin telling her and as Kiara closed her eyes listening for the sounds around her before she started to think about being back home…..

Despite the darkness, Padme and Obi Wan were not stopping to rest for the night knowing that time was not on their side and if they rested now, they’d lose time covering more ground further from the kingdom. The advisors were very specific about only four days to search for Anakin and Kiara.

“Padme” Obi Wan spoke breaking the silence as they continued to make their way through the forest “Perhaps we should stop and wait for the sun to rise, the forest can be dangerous at night” he warns her as Padme shook her head

“We’d lose time and we’re still too close to home to stop and I want to cover as much ground as I can before we have the first rest” she insists as Obi Wan sighs, hearing the determination and pride in her voice. He wasn’t going to win this however it was only a few more minutes when Obi Wan suddenly felt a tremor in the force.
“Padme” he breathes as Padme looks confused as she looks back at him “Obi Wan, what is going——“ she stops when she sees him get off his horse and move ahead of her, silent and like he was concentrating. Obi Wan then closes his eyes as he hears a voice through the force he never thought he’d hear again

“Daddy” they spoke. Kiara’s voice “Daddy, I don’t have much time but I hope you can hear me, I’m not sure if this will work, please save uncle Ani and me” she cries as Obi Wan concentrates even more trying to discover her location “I want to go home” she cries “Please save us” she pleads just before minutes later, she was gone just as Obi Wan realised where the witch camp was.

Obi Wan gasps falling to his knees “Kiara!” He breathes as Padme got off her horse and rushed over to her husband. “Obi Wan, you found her” she cried as Obi Wan focuses more on his daughter seeing trees and rushing waters as he heard Kiara once more “I don’t know how much longer uncle Ani has” she cried and minutes later, she was gone.

Obi Wan breathes heavily before he opens his eyes looking over at Padme who had her arms wrapped around him. Obi Wan looks over at her “I know where they are” he simply says seeing her gasp “You found them?’ She asks seeing him nod as Padme straightens up “Show us the way” she tells him as she moves back towards her horse

“We rest tonight and first thing in the morning we make for the witches camp and rescue our daughter and my brother” he promises her sharing a tender kiss before the knights started to make camp for the night.

Unaware of what Kiara had done, Alwina and Aurelia were now with one of the clan’s wisest and powerful witches even though she wasn’t leader. Delia didn’t care about being in power because she had knowledge Alwina and Aurelia still found remarkable to understand and hopefully Delia knew how to help speed up Kiara’s training which would hopefully help in bringing down her parent’s kingdom.

Delia moved around the tent looking over at Alwina and Aurelia. “So, our newest princess has been stubborn in her training even with the male here” she says “She’s definitely not like you were Aurelia, you were so eager” she reminds her as Alwina then speaks “Perhaps it was a mistake to bring him with her” she suggests as Delia paused for a moment before she spoke. “Not really, perhaps we need to cut the ties to her parents first” she informs her looking over at Aurelia

“Go bring the princess here” she instructs. Aurelia looks to Alwina who nods with a glare of do what she says leaving her no choice but to exit the tent as Delia moves over towards a large open fountain. Alwina then moves over towards her “What do you have in mind?” She asks as Delia smirks “An illusion” she replies “We’ll show Kiara how happy her parents are and that they aren’t looking for her” she explains as Alwina tilts her head “And if it doesn’t work?” She asks curiously as Delia smirks back at her

“Then her uncle will suffer and this time it will be permanent” she warns her.

Hoping that her message had gotten through to her parents, Kiara sneakily made it back into camp and back to her uncle without being seen. He looks over at her as she runs back over to him. “I did it, uncle Ani” she breathes “Do you think it worked?” She asks as Anakin looks down at her “The force is mysterious and you may be new to the ways of the force but hopefully Obi Wan felt your presence and they’ll find us” he tells her right as the tent opened and in stepped Aurelia.

Kiara cringed tighter to Anakin as she moved over towards her. “Come with me little one” she tells her but Kiara shook her head clinging to her uncle even more. Aurelia didn’t want to be forceful with the young girl but knew Alwina and Delia were waiting. “I promise you you won’t be always too long” she promises as Kiara still remained close to Anakin before he spoke. “I’d take the hint and leave now witch” he warns however Aurelia ignores him and instead suddenly grabs Kiara’s arm pulling her from Anakin.

“No! Let me go!” She cried tearfully looking back at her uncle who was struggling to break free from the rope around his wrists as he watched Aurelia drag a tearfully Kiara from the tent as he wondered what was going on now, something told him it wasn’t going to be good.

Minutes later, Delia and Alwina watched as Aurelia returned to the tent with a tearful and silent Kiara. Delia and Alwina moved over towards the young girl. “You refuse to let Alwina teach you young one?” Delia asked as Kiara looks back at her “My parents are coming” she tells them as Alwina kneels before her.

“You seem so certain of that young one” she comments “It’s been three years and no one has come for both of you” she reminds her taking her hand, “Come with me and we’ll just see what exactly your parents are doing” she warns her as Alwina leads Kiara over towards the fountain. Delia waved her hand before she chanted a mystical spell.

“Look into the fountain young Kiara” Alwina spoke  as Kiara shook her head “No, you want me to forget my parents but I know they’re coming!” She sobbed as Delia looks down at her “You’re very defiant young one” she warns “When your uncle is practically clinging to life” she warns as Kiara shook her head feeling the tears in her eyes

“You promised he wouldn’t die!” She sobbed to Alwina as Alwina shrugs “Look into the fountain” she simply replies. Kiara, fearing for her uncle’s life, takes a deep breath and steps up on her tip toes, still slightly shorter than the fountain to look into. Kiara then sees her old home coming into view before seeing the palace gardens and hearing her brother and sister laughing and chasing each other “Jacen, can’t catch me!” Lily cries as Kiara feels the tears even more before the scene shifts to seeing her parents sitting on a nearby park bench watching their children.

Kiara saw that her mother was smiling, why would she be smiling? She sees Padme resting her head on Obi Wan’s shoulder “I didn’t think I could just give the search up but perhaps it was for the best” Kiara hears her mother say causing her to start shaking her head “No!” Kiara cried “This can’t be real! My parents love me and they will find me” she sobbed as Alwina looks down at her

“It’s time to let them go. They’re never coming for you, as you can see they’re happy with your siblings” she informs her as Kiara still clinging to secret hope that using the force had helped her parents find her, shook her head

“No!, My parents haven’t given up and will find me!” She cried running out of the tent as Alwina rolls her eyes in annoyance “Well, that went well. The stubborn brat refuses to let her family go” she scoffs as Delia then smirks even more turning towards her. “Then we focus on the family member who we have captive here” she points out as Alwina looks over at her. “We can’t kill her uncle. He’s the only thing keeping her here to train in the first place and he has to remain alive” she warns her as Delia shrugs

“But you told me before, when you torture him, her powers are fuelled by her anger and you may have promised the man lives but Kiara’s powers grow when she becomes angry, so if she witnesses her uncle being killed, it just might be the final piece that brings her powers to the surface completely” she explains.

Aurelia gasps looking at her friend in shock “Alwina, this is risky!” She cried “What Delia is telling you to murder the only family she has. Are you sure this is wise?” She asks her as Alwina pauses for a moment. “This is risky. She does want to protect her uncle but I’m tired of getting no where!” She exclaims as Delia smirks as Aurelia shakes her head

“You’re really going to murder him even after ensuring her as long as she trains, he lives?’ She asks as Alwina nods “Well, we do have reason to kill him” she insists “Thalia told me he was the one who murdered her mother and I witnessed with my own eyes how he murdered Thalia” she reminds her.

Aurelia looks over at Alwina and Delia in shock “So, you’re going to execute him in front of everyone including Kiara wondering if she’ll either become so angry she’ll save him or he dies, her powers are enacted even more” she states as Alwina shrugs “Either way we will still win and our newest witch will help us take down her parent’s kingdom” she points out. Aurelia shook her head “Or kill us first” she thinks keeping that part to herself as Alwina and Delia begin preparing to enact their newest plan.

Kiara had ran all the way back to her tent where Anakin was still tied to the wooden pole. She threw her around around her uncle who felt so helpless at not even being able to hug his niece. “Uncle Ani, they’re horrible” Kiara cried “They tried to show me how mother and father are happier with me with just Jacen and Lily” she sobbed “They’re not even trying to look for me” she cries

Anakin shakes his head attempting to kneel down so he was closer to his niece “Kiara, you can’t let them get to you. Your parents love you and they are coming for you, it’s just that the witches have made it harder with the camp being blocked out from the force, but you need to cling to hope that you were able to use the force out there and your parents are on the way” he promises

Kiara tearfully looks up at her uncle “I hope so uncle Ani” she sniffs “Because I want to go home and don’t want them to hurt you anymore” she admits as he felt her clinging even tighter to him. Anakin sighs, he hoped this was all over soon. He just wished his brother was coming, it had been three years and Anakin was started to suspected the witches were going tired of Kiara’s defiance.

As the knights rested for the night, Padme and Obi Wan were the only two away which Obi Wan had hoped Padme would take this chance to rest but she was more curious about what Obi Wan had sensed through the force. “Was it Kiara you sensed in the force?’ She asks “Three years ago she didn’t even want to know about the force” she reminds him as Obi Wan sighs

“The witches have been probably trying to train her to become of them and use her force powers for darkness. Kiara’s the only reason why Anakin is probably still alive as these witches don’t have any males in camp except as captives or slaves” he explains. Padme shakes her head feeling the tears in her eyes once more

“I just don’t want to even think about what my little girl has been through these last three years. We lost three years with her Obi Wan” she points out. “She was six and if we see her again she’ll be nine. I know Anakin’s probably doing the best he can to watch over her but…..” She then started to cry as Obi Wan was quick to pull her into his arms holding her close.

“It’s been too long but hopefully soon we’ll see them again” he promises her giving her a gentle kiss as she rests her head against his shoulder, her teary eyes staring idly into the cracking orange fire.

Obi Wan’s dream…..

He had never seen a place like this surrounded by trees with several medium sized tents however it was crowd that drew Obi Wan to the centre. The witches had gathered in the centre as Alwina stood in the middle next to a wooden block beside another witch with thick long hair and deep crimson robes as another witch with light brownish blond hair moved towards them, holding onto Kiara’s hand as another two witches followed her with Anakin, restrained in cuffs

The witch and Kiara moved alongside Alwina as Anakin was brought to his knees. “Please don’t hurt him’ Kiara sniffs as Alwina ignores her and turns to look down at Anakin

“You have remained alive long enough you murderer” she informs him “You murdered my dear friend Thalia and her mother and I may have promised you’d live as long as Kiara obeys but she is refusing to join us so I’m changing my mind” she informs him as Anakin only glares up at her

“Shira and Thalia deserved to die for what they were doing to my brother and his wife” he scoffs as Alwina snaps “They didn’t deserve to die!” She cried “And now you will share their fate” she reveals as Kiara then screams

“No!, Please!” She cries trying to run towards her as Aurelia held her back as the two witches placed Anakin’s head onto the wooden block ready to execute as Kiara screamed before she pushed herself away from Aurelia raising her hands “No! I won’t let you kill him!” She cried as Alwina looks to the witch beside her, ready to behead Anakin as Kiara screams, hands raised “I won’t let you kill him!” Kiara angrily screams before…..

End of dream

Obi Wan’s eyes snapped open as he felt the sweat dripping from his forehead - these witches were becoming dangerous and Anakin’s life was in true danger however his little girl was even more of surprise and he knew they didn’t have much time. He slowly got to his feet and moved over towards Padme who he had convinced to rest gently nudging her

“Padme” he softly spoke seeing her stir “Obi Wan?” She whispers as he sighs “Wake the knights. I fear we don’t have much time yet” he warns her as Padme’s eyes widen but says nothing and quickly gets to her feet to wake the men before they prepared to head for the witches camp.

Chapter 4: Execution? Rescue? And Reunions

As sun rose over the camp the following morning, Alwina and Delia were preparing for what just may be the final chance of making Kiara the newest witch in their clan. Alwina then looks over at Delia curiously “If the child enacts her powers before we kill him and she saves him, what happens to him next?” She asks as Delia shrugs

“He’ll remain alive because Kiara will ensure we don’t kill him however while he may live, Kiara will have taken the steps to becoming a witch even if her parents find us before we can attack their kingdom, it will be too late” she explains.

Alwina smirks “And we will have delivered on Thalia’s wish. To avenge her parents” she points out. Alwina then smirks, she was very much looking forward to today.

Meanwhile, whilst Alwina and Delia prepared for their newest plan, Aurelia was taking a different route and was going to visit the prisoners. As she entered their tent, she saw Kiara pull back as she saw her enter the tent watching her as she moves over towards Anakin, His face bloodied and bruised, his wrists red raw from the ropes which tied his hands together to the pole. His legs felt like they were on fire from all the torture they had enforced on him over the three years.

Aurelia raised a hand to his feet as Kiara nervously bit her top lip “Don’t hurt him” she mutters as Aurelia gives her a smile “I’m not going to hurt him” she promised and right before Kiara’s eyes, half the wounds on Anakin’s face started to disappear! Not only had she been a princess and had abilities with the force, but she helped heal as part of her training and had healed many of her sisters.

“Why are you now healing me?” Anakin asks confused “I thought men usually just die here when you’re through with them” he goes on. Aurelia gives him a small smile “I’ve decided to make my own decisions and part of me hates what Alwina makes me and the other witches do you” she confesses “Yes, males don’t do well here in this camp but I wasn’t born here. I did have a family” she explains as Kiara then spoke in a soft voice
“Then help us” she tells her “Help us escape” she adds as Aurelia lowers her head “You can’t escape, there’s a reason you’ve never been able to make out of the camp in the last three years” she reminds her before she raises her hand and unties the ropes from Anakin’s wrists. She then watches him move over and lift Kiara into his arms. Aurelia watched as Kiara clung to her uncle.

“I’m sorry” Aurelia tells them as Anakin looks back at her “For a moment, I thought you would help us but like Alwina was to Thalia, you’re a shadow to Alwina and unable to step out from her leadership. Kiara will never become one of you. She has a kind, strong family who are coming to rescue us” he explains as Aurelia stands there unable to respond

Aurelia then moves over towards them as Anakin steps back still with Kiara in his arms wondering what she might do before Aurelia raises her hands and uses her healing powers to heal the wounds on his arms and legs. “Come with me” she simply says as Anakin looks at her confused “Why?” He asks “You’re going to bring us to Alwina for more of Kiara’s training?” He scoffs as Aurelia shakes her head

“No, I’m going to help you contact your family” she reveals as Anakin shakes his head “I thought this camp was hidden from the force” he points out as Aurelia shakes her head “There is one part of this camp that allows you to use the force” she tells him  “Now come on, we don’t have much time before Alwina sends for you both” she insists exiting the tent as Kiara looked up at Anakin “Are we following her?’ She asks as Anakin is silent for a moment before he spoke “We need to see if she’s telling the truth” he tells her heading after Aurelia as the sun continued to rise.

Whilst, making their way towards the river, Obi Wan, Padme and the knights were not stopping. Ever since Obi Wan had received Kiara’s message in the force, he wasn’t stopping. They all could hear the river meters ahead as Padme looks over at her husband “Where to now?’ She asks as Obi Wan looks straight across the river. “We cross the river, on foot. Their camp is not too far away” he insists

Obi Wan helped Padme from her horse as the knights started to descend their horses letting them drink from the river as they prepared their weapons. “We’re going to see our daughter again” Padme smiles as Obi Wan nods “We’re going to save Kiara and Anakin and rid the kingdom of these witches once and for all” he insists grabbing their weapons and moving over towards their knights.

Whilst at the same time…..

For the first time, in a long time, Anakin felt the force. Aurelia wasn’t lying when she informed him there was one area of the camp where it was still connected to the force and he could sense his brother - they were close. Anakin then opened his eyes and looks over at Kiara as she saw a smile cross his face for the first time in a while.

“Kiara” he breathes “They’re coming, your parents are close” he promises seeing her smile as Kiara smiles “I knew they hadn’t give up on me!” She cried “They didn’t forget me” she cried happily running over towards her uncle and throwing her arms around him as Anakin looked over at Aurelia “Thank you for your help” he tells her before they heard a sharp, angry voice.

“Aurelia!” Alwina angrily snapped as Aurelia then panics “Oh no, she’s looking for you” she tells them “I’m sorry for this” she says taking Kiara’s hand as she waves her hands and Anakin’s hands were cuffed together with force resistant cuffs. “What are you doing?” He asks as Aurelia shakes her head “If she finds out here, she’ll think you’ve been trying to escape so play along” she insists leading them from the tent as Alwina is coming towards them. “What are you doing Aurelia?” She snapped as Aurelia thinks for a moment before she answers her

“I thought maybe I could try and convince Kiara her parents aren’t coming” she lies as Alwina cautiously stares back at her before she smirks “Well, that doesn’t matter anymore, bring the child and her uncle to the centre of camp” she instructs them turning back as Aurelia looks back at Anakin. Anakin was confused, Alwina didn’t even notice his wounds were healed and what did she mean when she said it didn’t matter anymore? Little did he know, he was more closer to death than he had even been before.

The witches had gathered in a circle with Delia standing in the middle along with two other witches beside a block of wood, Alwina moves over towards Delia as Aurelia, holding Kiara’s hand pushing Anakin into the centre of the circle where two witches came forward and forced him to his knees.

Alwina looked down at him “You outlived your purpose here long enough Anakin” she scoffs “Kiara needs to let go of everyone she loves to become a true witch” she informs him as Kiara shakes her head “I’ll never become one of you” she snaps as Alwina smirks even more “Never say never young one” she only replies turning back to Anakin “The time has come for you to die for crimes that include the murders of Shira and Thalia” she informs him as Anakin glares back at her “Shira and Thalia deserved to die for what they tried to do to my brother and his wife” he informs him

Delia then moves over towards him, where she then roughly pushes Anakin’s head down onto the wooden block as Kiara panics “No! Please, don’t kill my uncle!” She cried as she struggled in Aurelia’s grip on her as she looks back at her “Please help us!” She cried up at her as Alwina laughs “Aurelia’s not going to help you young one, only in your training which will continue after this execution” she warns as Kiara feels her anger starting to build as Delia held Anakin down as another witch prepared to behead him

At the same time……

He could not longer feel the force so it meant they were getting closer to the camp “Keep low” Obi Wan instructs them as they continued further through the forest as they heard screams up ahead and a piercing angry voice “Leave my uncle alone!” They cried as Padme and Obi Wan’s eyes widen “Kiara!” They cried picking up the pace through the forest

Back in the witches camp…..

Kiara’s eyes glared directly at Alwina “You lied!” She screamed not seeing Delia silently smirk as she could see Kiara’s powers growing with her anger. Aurelia had slowly let go of Kiara’s hand as Kiara moved towards her uncle “You said my uncle would live and you are going to kill him!” She cried as Alwina sighs

“He’s outgrown his time here and he’s still a murderer” she reminds her as she gives a nod to the witch preparing the execute however as the witch raised the sharp axe and just as they were about to bring it down to behead Anakin, they were suddenly pushed through the air. Alwina and Delia looked at each other in shock as they watched Kiara force pushed the second witch on Delia’s left through the camp.

Delia then disappears as Kiara turns her attention to Alwina “You lied to me and I won’t let you hurt my uncle ever again” she angrily cries raising her hands. She didn’t see Aurelia move back over towards Anakin and uncuffs his cuffs. “Kiara, don’t” Anakin says as Kiara shook her head “No, they want to kill you uncle Ani and she needs to die” she confesses as Delia then re appears and this time she wasn’t alone. She had been alerted to their new arrivals.

“Unleash your abilities Kiara, show your potential to Alwina and then on your parents” she warns pushing a cuffed Padme and Obi Wan down onto the ground. “Mother, father!” She cried “Kiara!” They cried. Kiara looked around seeing Alwina smirked, Aurelia and Anakin both looked horrified, Padme and Obi Wan looked afraid as Delia looked straight at her “Well, young one, are you ready to become a true witch sister?” She asks.

Chapter 5: The Ultimate Decision

Flashback - 6 years ago……

“Mommy, daddy!” Cried a three year old Kiara running down the palace halls towards her parents as they were just coming out of the throne room from their last meeting of the day as Anakin followed her carrying a 1 year old Lily and a 5 year old Jacen running after her.

Obi Wan caught her in his arms “Hello there little Princess” he smiles as Padme smiles over at her daughter “Did you have a good time with uncle Anakin?” She asks as Kiara nods “Always! He told us an amazing story!”  She gushes just as Anakin reaches them, cradling a sleeping Lily in his arms.

Obi Wan looks over at his brother “Seems you’re becoming quite the storyteller brother” he comments as Anakin shrugs and smirks “It’s a gift and we were coming back from the marketplace and Lily was looking tired so I suggested we go into the nursery and I’ll tell them a story” he explains “Lily was out after a few minutes but Kiara and Jacen wanted more” he adds.

“Well, how about we go see if dinner is ready, Anakin, do you mind putting Lily in her crib?” She asks taking Kiara from Obi Wan “And we’ll meet you in dining room” she tells him as Obi Wan then adds “I’ll go with him” sensing something was on his brother’s mind.

Padme took hold of Jacen’s hand and then moved down the hallway with her two children as Anakin and Obi Wan handed to the nursery with Lily. “Something’s on your mind brother?” He asks as Anakin shakes his head smirking “Never could keep anything from you” he admits as they ascended the stairs to the nursery
“It’s Kiara” he admits “She told me something that right now, might just be nothing but in the story I told today, Jacen was interested in the Jedi parts of the story but Kiara insisted she wanted to be a Princess like Padme was which makes me wonder if she’ll not want to have any training” he admits

Obi Wan thought for a moment, he hadn’t really given that conversation much though knowing Padme wouldn’t want to think much of it, but the force did flow through his children and a little training couldn’t help but he wouldn’t want it forced on her

“I suppose for now Anakin, it’s nothing to worry about. Kiara’s young and as she grows older, she’ll make her own mind up and we’ll just accept her decision” he points out as Anakin nods in agreement “You’re right and besides it’s ultimately up to Padme because she’s much stronger to the council then you” he teases as Obi Wan only shook his head at his brother’s taunts. Little did they know, how the decision about Kiara’s future would affect them all

End of flashback

Kiara, her hands out before her, looks around at Alwina, Delia, Aurelia, Anakin and her parents who she had never seen so helpless in her young life. “Well, young one?” Alwina asks her “Are you ready to become a full fledged witch sister?” She asks as Delia then adds “Kill your parents and your uncle lives” she reveals.

“Kiara” Anakin spoke as she turns towards him and in the three years they had been captive, Anakin saw real fear and unsure of what she wanted. “Uncle Ani?” She tearfully asks as Anakin moves over towards her, Alwina raises her hand to send him flying but Delia stopped her allowing him to kneel before his niece.

“Kiara, in the three years we were here, you always held onto the hope that your parents were coming and now they’re here and need your help” he points out as Kiara looked over to see her parents beside Delia, their hands cuffed. “Alwina has been training you to be a witch” he tells her pulling her closer. “You need to show them your abilities” he whispers to her

Kiara looks back at him. “I’m ready” she grins as he nods before Kiara turns around to Alwina “I will not let you harm my parents!” She angrily screamed raising her hand she sent Alwina flying meters through the air into another tent. Two more witches attempted to charge after Kiara only to be knocked back by Anakin just as Kiara knocks another two witches back. Aurelia watches as Delia begins to move over towards the child however Aurelia steps in her path

“I won’t let you harm her Delia!” She cries as Delia scoffs “You’re choosing her over your sisters?” She asks “We took you in when you had no one” she reminds her “This child deserves to have a family who will help her be the strong powerful woman she will grow to be” she tells her as Aurelia shakes her head. “She has a family and you’re trying to take them away from her!” She snaps “I will not let you destroy her family” she tells her however Delia had, had enough of her and before Aurelia had a chance to react, Delia sent her flying into another of the tents.

Delia then turned her sights on Anakin and Kiara and hadn’t seen Padme and Obi Wan slowly and silently get to their feet. Padme had managed to secretly unlock her cuffs before helping Obi Wan, both grabbing two weapons. Padme could see her knights on the edge of the forest, waiting for the order. Luckily for them, Delia had been too focused on capturing them to kill the men. “We need to stop her and Alwina” she tells her as Obi Wan looks over at Alwina who had just gotten back to her feet moving for Kiara. “Leave the other one to me, you take Alwina” he tells her “Make her pay” he grins sharing a tender kiss before they spilt signalling to the men to slowly move into the camp.

Kiara screamed once more as she and Anakin fought off the witches when they heard sudden cries and Anakin turned to see Padme and Obi Wan’s knights running into the camp, swords out and ready to help fight. Anakin looks down at his niece “Looks like we’re going home Kiara” he tells her seeing her smile however Delia spoke next

“I wouldn’t be too sure of that” she coldly informs them seeing them turn to look over at her. She raises her hand seeing a fallen staff from one of the witches nearby “Say goodbye to your uncle Kiara” she smirks as Kiara’s eyes widen in horror as the staff begins to fly towards Anakin however before anyone else could react, Kiara watched as her father jumped in front of his brother, the staff landing straight in his left shoulder. Obi Wan cried out as Kiara glared at Delia

“You hurt my father!” She cried raising her hand, Delia was abruptly thrown completely out of sight due to the sheer angry and force of Kiara’s push. Anakin was instantly by his brother’s side “You are full of surprises brother” he smirks as Obi Wan shakes his head, ignoring the pain “You may at times drives me crazy brother but I’m not losing you” he tells him as Kiara was by his side “Daddy!” She throwing her arms around him. Despite the pain, Obi Wan raised his arm around his little girl who he thought he would never see again.

Whilst……

As her men fought the other witches, Padme moved towards Alwina who instead of going after Kiara once more, he seen her coming and smirked over at her. “Well, well, your highness, come to take the brat home?” She asks as Padme glares at her “You took my daughter away from me and I am against murder but you are someone I cannot let live. I cannot let my people live in fear of you and your clan anymore” she angrily snaps as Alwina scoffs

“You won’t kill me, you’re too pacifist to murder anyone” she taunts as Padme coldly glares at her once more. “For you, I’ll make an exception” she only replies as Alwina shakes her head “Thalia’s wish will be fulfilled!” She cried raising her hand ready to choke Padme however Padme was slightly fast and threw the staff she had been holding straight at Alwina right through her stomach. Alwina’s eyes widen as she looked down to see the staff in her stomach.

Padme watches her slowly fall down to the ground before she moves over towards her. Padme breathed heavily looking down at her “Thalia’s wish has failed” she tells her reaching into her boot and pulling out a small dagger. She stabbed her straight through the heart. She was dead, after three agonising years, the witch who had took her daughter and brother in law was gone forever.

“Your highness!” Cried one of her knights causing her to look over towards where four of her knights were standing around two figures, both she recognised as Anakin and Kiara and lying on the ground was her husband! “Obi Wan!” She cried rushing over towards her husband falling to her knees, placing a hand on one side of his face. Obi Wan looks up at her, placing a hand on hers “It’s alright Padme, it’s just  a flesh wound” he assures her as Padme looks around at her knights “We need to get him back to the palace!” She instructs before a voice spoke

“Wait!” They cried as Anakin and Kiara turned to see Aurelia, bruised and limping from being thrown by Delia. Padme tenses as she becomes cautious of this new woman moving towards them. Anakin looks over at Padme, placing a hand on hers “It’s alright Padme, she’s a friend I think” he admits as Aurelia kneels beside Kiara who looked up at her “Please help my daddy” she sniffs as Aurelia nods

“The staff needs to be removed before I can heal the wound, Anakin, do you think you can remove the staff?” She asks seeing him grin “I can do that and don’t worry I’ll be gentle brother” he teases as Obi Wan rolls his eyes as Anakin placed both hands on the staff as Padme placed both her hands on his face looking down into his eyes as Anakin slowly removed the staff from Obi Wan’s shoulder. He cried out a little as Anakin tossed it away.

Aurelia then moves her hand over the wound and Anakin, Padme, Kiara and the knights all watched as Aurelia used her healing ability to heal his wound. Padme feels a smile through her tears before she threw her arms around Obi Wan as Kiara happily cried “Mommy, daddy!” She cried seeing them look over at her before they wrapped their arms around her pulling her into their grip. Their search was over, they had rescued their little girl.

Anakin then looked over at Aurelia who had silently gotten up and moved away. Anakin moved to follow her. “Aurelia, wait!” He called out after her. Aurelia slowly turns towards him. “Thank you” he tells her “But I have to know, what changed your mind that made turned against your sisters?” He asks as Aurelia sighs, looking behind him at Kiara who was with her parents

“Seeing Kiara clinging to the hope about her parents and protecting you, it made me think of myself and if my parents were still alive or I had any family looking for me, I probably would have left the clan years ago” she admits as Anakin then tilts his head “So where will you go now?” He asks as Aurelia sighs “I might see what happened to my kingdom, visit my parent’s gravesite” she suggests as Anakin takes a deep breath

“Well, if you’re ever close, you’re welcome to visit. I know it could be a risk but we wouldn’t be standing here if you hadn’t taken a stand” he insists seeing her give a small smile. “Kiara’s back with her family and Alwina’s dead, the sisters are fleeing, Delia’s gone, hopefully your kingdom is safe” she insists

Anakin is then startled by what Aurelia does next and leans in to gently kiss him on the cheek! Then without another word, but a small smile, Aurelia was gone leaving Anakin to turn back towards his brother, sister in law and niece. Padme and Obi Wan still couldn’t believe they had their little girl back, who was not so little anymore.

Padme placed a hand on her daughter’s face “I can’t believe how much you’ve grown sweetheart” she admits. “Every birthday I wished you both were with me” Kiara admits before she added “But uncle Ani always attempted to make it still special” she adds seeing him move back over towards them as Obi Wan looks over at his brother as Padme reaches out and takes one of Anakin’s hands before she then embraces him “Thank you Anakin!” She cries seeing him smile down at her “I told you Padme, I may be your brother in law and uncle to your children but I’m also your head royal guard and I will always protect the kingdom and the royal family” he promises her right before Kiara threw her arms around Anakin

“I’m just happy I saved you again” she smirks referring to how she helped obtain his heart back from Shira. Anakin wraps an arm around her “You haven’t changed one bit princess” he teases seeing her giggle before Padme takes her hand as Anakin and another knight help Obi Wan to his feet as they all began the journey back home.

Whilst back in the kingdom, it was nearly sun set it on the third day and no sign of the Queen, King, knights or if they had found Anakin and Kiara. Jacen and Lily had attempted to distract themselves by spending time together with Dorme whilst Sabe carried out her role as acting Queen very well. Sabe was dealing with the advisors once more insisting guards are sent for Queen and King to end this search when they were startled by one guard bursting into the chamber

“You highness!” They cried seeing all the advisors and Sabe looking over at them. “The Queen and King have returned and the Royal guard and Princess are with them!” He exclaims. Sabe smirks looking around at the advisors “See, you doubted your Queen but it appears she has had her own luck” she grins rushing past them “Have Dorme bring Jacen and Lily to the front steps” she instructs as she continued to rush down the hallway.

As Padme, Obi Wan, Anakin, Kiara and the knights arrived back into the kingdom, Anakin and Kiara noticed how the people all turned their attention on them, rushing up to them happily cheering. Kiara, who was sitting in front of her father on his horse, looks up at her father. “They missed me daddy” she comments as Obi Wan smiles “Of course they did Kiara” he tells her as they made their way towards the palace where they saw the advisors, Sabe, Dorme, Jacen and Lily rushing down the steps.

For Anakin, he was amazed at how Jacen and Lily had grown within the last three years. Anakin looks over at Padme. “Jacen and Lily have sure grown” he tells her as Padme smiles “Jacen’s missed you a lot. He blamed himself for not protecting Kiara from being taken saying you had told him to protect his sisters and he felt like he failed” she explains as Anakin shakes his head

“Hope you told him he’s not and I’ll always be proud of him” he admits as Padme smiles as they reached the steps as the guards moved over to take the horses reins before Obi Wan got off his horse helping Kiara down then turning to help Padme down. Jacen and Lily’s eyes widen in delight. “Kiara!” They cried rushing past Sabe and Dorme and straight into their sister. “You’re taller!” Lily grins as Jacen nods “Nearly as tall as me” he adds “Though not quite” he adds as Kiara smirks back at him. “I missed you big brother” she simply replies before hugging him once more before they heard Anakin speak up

“What about some love for your favourite uncle?” He asks as Lily and Jacen turned towards him “Uncle Anakin!” They cried. Kiara followed them as Padme and Obi Wan watched their children jumping all over Anakin excitedly. “You think they missed him?’ He asks her as Padme smirks.

“Well, he is their favourite uncle” she points out just as Sabe and Dorme moved over towards them. Sabe happily hugged her friend “I never doubted you for a minute” she tells her “Though your advisors seem to doubt, well except for my mother” she admits as Padme shakes her head. “”Some of them were the same when my father was King” she assures them “But I knew you would do me proud” she admits before they looked back seeing Anakin move over towards them with Jacen, Kiara and Lily

“Now, that’s the best welcome home I’ve ever had” he admits as Jacen then adds “Well, you were gone for three years uncle Anakin” he reminds him as Anakin laughs “Which means we have time to make up” he tells him as Lily pats him on the shoulder “Uncle Ani?” She asks seeing him look over at her “Yes, little princess” he replies as she threw her arms around him once more “Don’t leave again” she mutters as he feels a tear in his eye. Lily was still too little to understand what had happened. “I promise” he assures her looking over at Padme and Obi Wan

“So, shall we all get something to eat?” He asks as Obi Wan shook his head. He may have been gone for three years but his brother hadn’t changed once bit. Obi Wan wrapped an arm around Padme’s waist as she took Kiara’s hand and Jacen fell into line beside his father and uncle. Lily in Anakin’s arms as they moved up the steps into the palace, a family reunited at last.

Epilogue

It had been only two months since Padme and Obi Wan rescued Anakin and Kiara from the witches after three long agonising years of not knowing if they would see them again but it also meant that the witches were disbanded, most of them dead in the fight. Alwina killed by Padme. Delia had not been held from since the rescue and Aurelia had done what she had told Anakin and was head back home to whatever kingdom she had left.

As it turned out, Aurelia discovered her kingdom had been somewhat broken ever since her parents were murdered and they presumed their daughter, the princess was lost or dead. Aurelia thought no one cared for her but when she had been discovered in the kingdom, she had been welcomed back after all the years apart and force abilities or now or her life as a witch, the kingdom wanted her back as Queen Aurelia.

However, despite having the love of the people, the old advisors she grew up with and seeing the friends she grew up alongside all grown up, Aurelia still felt lonely and it wasn’t because of having abilities because she didn’t want to even find any of them, there was someone else on her mind, someone who didn’t have to allow her to leave but did and she decided to pay them a visit.

“There is another matter we need to talk about” one of the advisors spoke up as Padme looked over at them wondering if it would be about Kiara unlocking her abilities and where does it goes next, however what he had to say next surprised her. “There is word of a new Queen in one of the neighbouring kingdoms, perhaps we could meet with her and become allies” he explains as Padme curiously looks over at him “And who is this new Queen?” She asks as the advisor then goes on “Queen Aurelia, according to the people of her kingdom, she was presumed a lost princess for many years until recently” he informed her as Padme is silent. Aurelia. That name sounded so familiar, wasn’t one of the witches named Aurelia. Or was it just a coincidence?

“I think as we have experience within the last few years, we need strong allies and we need to make arrangements to meet with this new Queen Aurelia” Padme explains right as Sabe’s mother looked over at her seeing her still in thought “Your highness, is everything alright?” She asks as Padme quickly shakes her head.

“Aurelia, that name sound familiar and I thought growing up my father and mother knew all the Kings and Queens and I had met the Princes and Princesses in the lands” she tells her before she then gets to her feet. “If we’re done here today, I will be in the library” she tells them. The advisors all stood and bowed as she past them. Padme loved history and she hoped to find something in the library about a Princess/Queen Aurelia.

It was a clear sunny day in the kingdom and while Padme had her duties to attend to for the morning and Obi Wan was seeing to the training of the knights, Anakin decided to look after his nephew and nieces who had become rather clingy with him even more although Kiara was wanting to be close to her parents. Anakin had decided to take them down to the marketplace. Lily holding one of his hands and Kiara holding his other hand as Jacen walked alongside Jacen. The people moved through the marketplace carrying out their own business, occasionally some will smile at them, others would bow and courtesy to the princesses and prince.

For Kiara, she at times felt uneasy, she wasn’t six year old she was now nine and she had taken a liking to the local jewellery stand. Obi Wan had already brought her a beautiful gold bracelet shortly after returning him and today Anakin was the one surprising her as they moved over towards the stand.

The vendor saw them coming and turns back to retrieve a small brown pouch. “Anakin, I have your parcel you asked for” he tells him as Anakin smiles taking the pouch from him and giving him several gold coins. He then kneels before Kiara. Lily looked at him curiously “What’s that uncle Anakin?” She asks curiously as Anakin started to open the pouch. “This is a special present for Kiara” he tells her “Not just cause I missed three birthdays but because when Kiara and I were held captive by the witches, she was very brave and true to herself and before we left the camp completely, I found this crystal and brought it back with us and the vendor here helped me with the string to make it into a necklace” he tells them

Jacen, Kiara and Lily all watched as Anakin took out the black string and attached with a beautiful medium sized white crystal. Kiara gasps “Uncle Ani, it’s beautiful!” She cried before he places it on her. Her fingers touching the crystal “Thank you!” She cried throwing her arms around him “You’re the best uncle ever!” She gushes as Anakin laughs “I’m very proud of you Kiara. You didn’t give in to the witches and yes you showed your powers but you protected your family and that’s what our family does” he admits
It was just at that moment they heard a surprising voice “It certainly would appear that way” they spoke as Anakin, Kiara, Jacen and Lily all looked to see a large group of unknown guards all surrounding one figure in a cloak and hood. Anakin was back on his feet, stepping in front of the children.

“Who are you?” He asks taking his sword out “What are you doing here?” He asks as they stepped forward and pushed their hood off revealing their face. Anakin and Kiara gasp. Kiara gripped Anakin “It’s her, she’ll hurt you uncle Ani” she sniffs however as Anakin used the force, he sensed no darkness but light?

“You’re not here to cause trouble aren’t you?’ He ask. He moved closer towards her not before one of the guards take out his sword blocking him “That’s close enough to our Queen” he warns as Anakin blinks in surprise

“Queen?’ He asks seeing her smile “I did return home to my kingdom and found that they were broken since my parents died and I was their lost princess who they have made Queen” she states holding her hand up high “They’re not even already of my force abilities” she points out as Anakin nods bringing Jacen, Kiara and Lily forward

“It’s alright, she won’t hurt you. Jacen, Lily, this is Queen Aurelia” he tells them as Kiara tilts her head “So you’re not going to hurt our uncle?” She asks as Aurelia smiles “No, in fact I wanted to speak with you and perhaps your brother and sister in law” she admits as Anakin nods. “Of course, follow us and we’ll escort you back to the castle” he insists leading the way back through the marketplace  and towards the castle.

Obi Wan had found his wife in the library when they were then alerted to the arrival of a surprise visitor to the kingdom. Padme couldn’t find much about Queen Aurelia and was putting it to the back of her mind as Obi Wan lead her towards the throne room where they entered the throne room seeing Anakin, Jacen, Kiara and Lily standing there along with several guards and one figure.

As Padme got closer her eyes widen, instantly recognising her from the witches camp. “You!” She snapped “What are you doing here?” She angrily asks moving over towards her. Aurelia’s guards became defensive and moved to protect their Queen as Anakin steps in. “Your highness, I know what this may look like but you need to hear Aurelia out first” he insists “She’s not here to harm any of us” he promises her.

Padme feels Obi Wan hold her hand as she looks to Anakin giving her a sincere smile as Jacen, Kiara and Lily looked over at her. Kiara giving a nod. Padme then moves past towards the throne where she takes a seat before she looks over at Aurelia.

“What brings you to our kingdom unannounced, if you’re not here to come after my daughter and brother in law” she states as Aurelia lowers her head. She then takes a deep breath before she raises her head. “I know I’m not on your good side right now but I’ve not been a Queen or even a Princess for many years and my advisors have informed me being allies with your kingdom will help my kingdom” she insists as she steps towards her

“I know when you first saw me, I was a witch, but before you found the camp, I was seeing a different side and helping Anakin and Kiara” she insists as Padme looks over at Anakin who nods in agreement as Kiara speaks. “It’s true mother” she tells her “She helped uncle Ani channel the force to find you” she explains “And she fought with us against the witches when they tried to kill him” she adds

Padme looks to her husband who is silent. He didn’t know what to think either, there was a witch in their kingdom wanting to be an ally now. Given their past with the witches, they didn’t want to agree to this new alliance so quickly. Padme met her husband’s gaze and knew what she wanted to say

“Kiara and Anakin’s words may be convincing but given the history you need to understand how hesitant I am to agree to this alliance” she insists. Aurelia then had a thought. “Perhaps, I could give you some time before we prepare a peace treaty?’ She asks. Padme thinks for a moment before she spoke

“I will admit my council did wish to meet with you Queen Aurelia but I think that is wise and in the meantime I will have my council draft up a peace treaty for us to sign” she states before she gets to her feet. I’ll have Dorme show you to your guest quarters” she insists before she moves over towards her children taking Lily’s hand as Obi Wan leads Jacen and Kiara away. Kiara pauses realising Anakin hasn’t followed them.

“Uncle Ani’s not following us father” she points out as Obi Wan looks back seeing his brother move over towards Aurelia. “He’s just going to help our guest to her chambers. He won’t be far behind” he promises leading her from the throne room as Kiara couldn’t ignore the strange feelings she was feeling through the force.

At the same time, back in the throne room…

“You’re hiding something?” Anakin asks Aurelia “You didn’t tell Padme the other reason you’re here” he tells her seeing her sigh before she looks up at him. “Because I didn’t think your family agree with my other reason” she admits.

Aurelia then stuns Anakin by taking one of his hands. “I didn’t think it was possible because the witches hated males but despite having to torture and punish Anakin under Alwina’s orders, Aurelia had also discovered she was having feelings for the royal guard.

“I think I’m in love in with you” she reveals taking him by surprise “And while I’m here, I’d like to spend more time with you as well” she insists. Anakin is taken back, he had never even thought about love, ever since Padme. He focused on his role as Royal family head guard and brother and uncle and he knew the females who attempted to gain his attention but he hadn’t given it any time and now, he was this newly appointed Queen who was once someone who was a witch and tortured him for three years, confessing feelings for him.

Aurelia then let go of his hand “I’m sorry” she softly says starting to turn away as Anakin stops her taking her hand “No, I’m sorry” he admits “It’s just that I’ve never had a woman admit any feelings for me, I was just surprised” he tells her “I’d like to spend time getting to know you” he admits seeing her smile before she felt him gently kiss her, unaware they were being watched.

Outside the throne room…..

Padme and Obi Wan were getting Lily ready for dinner and hadn’t noticed Jacen and Kiara fall back towards the room where they had ears dropped on their uncle and even though they couldn’t hear much, they saw the surprise kiss! “No, uncle Ani can’t do this, what if he leaves?” Kiara cries as Jacen shakes his head “Uncle Anakin wouldn’t leave us” he assures her as Kiara looks up at her brother “But he kissed her” she points out as Jacen shook his head once more

“Mother and father wouldn’t let him leave, he watches out for us” he insists wrapping an arm around his sister however as he looked back into the throne room, Jacen wondered if their uncle would really leave them after all these years.

The end….well, the end of this story because there is a sequel! It won’t be a fighting for, so it has no title yet but I can reveal that the story will focus Padme forming an alliance and learning to trust the former witch Aurelia even as she discovered her head royal guard Anakin and the new Queen are in love! Obi Wan and Padme also need to handle their children’s upset at the thought of losing their uncle all for love
