Blurb: Obi-Wan Kenobi leaves Mustafar with Padmé. (We all know the scene!) However, this of course is my version. So since it’s an Obidala there is a bit of a change. CP30 is flying Padmé’s ship, and Obi-Wan is comforting Padmé in sickbay.

Obi-Wan gently touched Padmé’s cheek with the back of his rough jedi-warrior hand. The Senator from Naboo leaned into his touch. Her eyes fluttered open and she waited until her eyes focused upon his face. The noble Jedi that stood before her had that familiar look of concern, recently. The same look when he stated that Anakin was the father of her child. That detestable day she found out that her beloved husband slaughtered younglings and turned to the Dark side.

Barely able to speak, her throat swollen by a force choke that was inescapably given to her by the one she loved. Or thought she loved. Briefly, memories reeled around like puzzle pieces. She was becoming dizzy and faint.

With a struggled voice, Padmé whimpered, “I should have listened to you, Obi-Wan.” Her voice was fading softly into the starship‘s cabin. “Can you ever forgive me?” Padmé closed her eyes and went into unconsciousness.

The Jedi stood before her. His heart was crushed. He took her hand and squeezed it firmly. He kneeled down and his face was near to her lips. So near that he could feel the slight air of her breath.

“Padmé, you have nothing to be sorry about,” he choked on his words and continued to struggle with what he wanted to say for a long time. “I have always cared for you. You must hang-on Padmé. Don’t give up. You have your baby to live for. Please,” he pleaded. “I..I……I love you.”

The tears swelled up in his eyes. Obi-Wan focused with being in-tuned with the force. But, the force ached too. There was too much death and despair. A Master Jedi that served the Republic and now regrettably, it has become an evil Empire. A galaxy served only by evil. By his once Apprentice and one who played the Jedi like a stacked deck of Sabraac. All was dead. The Jedi was no more.

Obi-Wan continued to hold onto Padmé’s hand when he felt a surge from the Force. Yes, a surge of hope. He undeniably felt it. The force was speaking to him.

“Padmé,” he whispered. “I know you must rest, but I have to tell you, something. There is hope, Padmé. There is hope. “

Padmé gradually opened her eyes and smiled. “I know.”

Padmé has always been a strong woman, and determined. Yes, they would overcome obstacles. The evilness of the world would be destroyed one day, and they would continue on with each other and the force, fulfilling their destiny.
